Anola Pickle Ball

It's a game that can be played by all ages. Pickle ball is a cross between ping-pong and tennis that is played on a badminton size court. Players use a plastic ball with holes and a paddle similar to ping-pong. The net is similar to a tennis net mounted two inches lower. the game can be played in singles or doubles format.

Anola H.E.A.T. is a dance program based out of the ACC on Thursday evenings from September to the end of May culminating with a yearly recital. H.E.A.T. offers a recreational Creative Class for 3 – 5 year old girls and boys. These young dancers will learn basic dance steps through music and games. A combination class of jazz/hiphop for 5 and 6 year olds, with tap, ballet, lyrical and jazz/hip hop offered to all other ages. Our Competitive Program offers Baton and Pom Pom for girls and boys, ages 7 and up. As part of our competitive group, much more time and commitment is required from the athletes and their families to prepare for Competitions starting in February. The competitive program athletes also have an option to travel to another province in July to attend the Canadians Competition. Registration dates will be posted in August for the 2015 -2016 program year.

YOUTH DANCES (Grades 3 - 6)

The Youth Dance is offered to kids grades 3 to 6. There are door prizes, dance prizes and an auction!!!! The canteen is open for candies, treats, pizza, drinks and more!!! These dances are on Friday evenings from 7:00 - 10:00pm and parents must sign their kids in and out of the hall (no exceptions). The Middle Years Dance is offered to kids grades 6 to 9. Chaperones are needed; please consider lending a hand so we can continue to offer an evening out for the kids & parents too!!! Admission to Movie Mania is free of charge! Come out to the Anola Community Club for a full afternoon including two family-rated movies. Pizza, popcorn and drinks are available for purchase. We are hoping to have movies every month this winter so watch school handouts, newsletters and event boards in the community for upcoming dates and movie titles. We hope to see you there!

Doors open at 12:00pm with the 1st movie starting at 12:30pm and the 2nd movie starting at approximately 2:30pm.

The Selo Ukrainian Dancers are a troupe of young, enthusiastic performers that are proudly celebrating their 27th year! The group rehearses out of Anola, MB and their dancers range in age from 5 - 21. They have a repertoire of dances and colorful costumes that are representative of every region of the Ukraine.

Mohutniy Ukrainian Dance Ensemble is a group of adults that have been promoting the Ukrainian Culture through dance for the last 14 years. We have dance practice every Wednesday night from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and before performances, we practice on Sundays, or as required, at the Anola Community Club. Our dancers perform at many festivals, weddings, anniversaries and celebrations, usually in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Our registration takes place each year in September.
